The Air Force, great airplane drivers and maintenance and good for bringing a big batch of hurt to the bad guys from the sky, not so great for ground pounding with the grunts.

I went through a ten day jungle warfare school in the snow and ice in Massachusetts in 1967. We had about 8 Air Force special troops going through our Army survival thing and they all had real neat parkas with wolf fur trim on the hoods. Every time they would try to shoot an M-14 with live ammo the recoil would cause the helmet to bump into the parka hood and crash into the knob that changed the rifle elevation. Every freaking airman every time he shot had to readjust elevation and they were all bitching about the fact that their clothes were designed for M-16 poodle shooters and not real battle rifles. Of course they bitched and whined every day about everything, living on snow and ice eating C-rats and staying filthy dirty. Yep Air Force, almost like being in the military.
