Number One Abilene Fairfield Inn & Suites – New Hotel

Heads up cause we have some important changes this year. Our prices were going up higher and higher in Brownwood so Larry Bedinghaus has been busy making new arrangements for us to bed down in Abilene on the South West side which will put us much closer to the fields we have been shooting the last few years and that will save a lot of drive time on Dove Day. Thank you Larry and please follow Larry’s instructions below when you are making your reservations. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/abifi-fairfield-inn-and-suites-abilene/ Pay attention, if coming in on Friday your first night will be the 1st of September, our Dove Eve.

We have also made arrangement for those who might want to hunt on opening day to come in early, more information on that to follow later, and as usual we will have our Dove Eve Dinner on Friday evening the 1st of September and the Annual Dove Day Hunt on September 2nd when all will gather for 24th year. Any of our group who want to invite a new guest are welcome as long as the new dove hunter is a safe, properly licensed, pleasant, non-asshole person who can fog a mirror.

Number Two
Perini Ranch Steakhouse – Dove Eve Dining in

At this time our plans are meet at the Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap, Texas at 7:00 on September 1st for the Dove Eve Dining In which is only 11 miles from our hotel, Abilene Fairfield Inn and we are counting on Larry Bedinghaus to get us set up with our own room for the evening. The Perini Ranch is an internationally known great place to eat in just a bit of a town. In 2005 we stayed in Abilene and ate at Perini’s and then for the next dozen years we were in Brownwood. https://store.periniranch.com/steakhouse/
